Boston Firm, Stowe & Degon, joins Morison International
Stowe & Degon was established in 1997 and is a fast-growing mid-sized firm. The firm’s partners are seasoned professionals with more than 80 years combined “Big Four” experience. On joining the association the firm will provide Morison International member firms with representation in Boston and its metropolitan area.
The firm provides audit services, tax advisory, business consulting and due diligence to publicly-listed, private, not-for-profit and employee benefit plan clients. The firm’s experience spans a wide range of industries including manufacturing, technology, not-for-profit, healthcare, managed care, insurance and retail.
Stowe & Degon is registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure in Public Accounting, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), the SEC Practice Section of the AICPA and the Massachusetts Society of CPA’s.
The firm is highly experienced in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Governmental Auditing Standards (GAS), auditing standards issued by the United States Department of Labor and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The firm has also invested hundreds of hours in examining Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) to assess its practical implications.
The firm has made significant investments in state-of–the-art technology, including a fully automated audit process and now enjoys an almost paperless office environment.
